The big line, up to 12 characters. A short name or nickname is biggest and reads best.

A full name, a class or a phone number, up to 40 characters. A long one is put on two rows so it stays readable. Leave it empty and the name gets the whole tag.

The name is part of the tag, raised level with the rim — nothing is glued on.

The lettering style can't draw .

Those characters would come out as empty boxes on the finished tag. Pick another lettering style, or leave them out.

The second line is only about mm tall.

That is hard to read on a keychain. Fewer characters or a heavier lettering style help.

The lettering is very fine at this size — about mm thick.

Letters this thin may not print cleanly. Shorter text or a heavier lettering style makes them thicker.

The text was made smaller to fit the tag: the name is about mm tall. The tag's size is fixed, so shorter text is bigger text.

Both colours are the same, so the name will only show as a raised shape. That's a real look — just check it's the one you want.

A name tag that whistles
  • A loud two-note whistle is built into the tag. Blow into the short end.
  • No loose parts inside, so there is nothing to rattle or fall out.
  • The hole takes a ball chain or a split ring (5.8 mm across).

The tag is one size. Its size is what makes the whistle sound, so it can't be made bigger or smaller.
